Ms. Hanson’s class celebrated Lunar New Year: Year of the Snake this week! Students researched various Lunar New Year traditions for their reports, took a virtual field trip to China, practiced eating with chopsticks, explored Chinese watercolor painting, and even followed recipes to make edible snakes! The week ended with enjoying traditional noodles for a long and happy life! 🎉🐍🥢 ¡La clase de Ms. Hanson celebró el Año Nuevo Lunar: Año de la Serpiente esta semana! Los estudiantes investigaron diferentes tradiciones del Año Nuevo Lunar para sus informes, hicieron un viaje virtual a China, practicaron cómo comer con palillos, exploraron la pintura en acuarela china y hasta siguieron recetas para hacer serpientes comestibles. ¡La semana terminó disfrutando fideos tradicionales para una vida larga y feliz! 🎉🐍🥢

🎶👏 This past weekend, our talented Cougar band Isaac Middle School, led by Mr. Salvador Rodriguez, proudly performed at the Greater Phoenix Music Festival at Camelback High School Auditorium! 🎺✨ Our students joined other bands for an unforgettable concert, showcasing their hard work and passion. School Board Update At tonight's meeting of the Isaac School District Board, the annual reorganization was approved. Mrs. Patricia Jiménez will now serve as President, and Mrs. Guzmán will take on the role of Vice President. Additionally, the title of Board Secretary was updated to Vice President to better reflect the role’s responsibilities. Congratulations to both for their dedication and commitment to our community. 🍴✨ Cougar Kitchen Shines at IMS ✨🍰 Yesterday, our Cougar Kitchen was the highlight as the talented students from Mr. Alcamphor’s Food Science class showcased their amazing culinary skills during the End-of-Semester Practice. 🎄✨ A Heartwarming Experience: Shop with a Cop ✨🎄 This weekend, our Isaac School District #5 was invited to participate in the "Shop with a Cop" program, a beautiful event filled with generosity and holiday spirit. Students were selected from each school in the district, and from Isaac Middle School, three students had the incredible opportunity to take part! 💙👮‍♂️ Thanks to the support of West Valley Mavericks Foundation, Maryvale-Estrella PHX PD, and Kohl’s, our students enjoyed a day full of smiles, camaraderie, and joy, taking home not just gifts but unforgettable memories. We are truly grateful to these organizations for creating such meaningful moments for our families and for embodying the true spirit of the season. Thank you for making this magic possible! 🎁✨ 🎄✨ Una experiencia llena de alegría: Compras con un Policía ✨🎄 Este fin de semana, nuestro Distrito Escolar Isaac #5 fue invitado a participar en el programa "Shop with a Cop", un evento lleno de generosidad y espíritu navideño.
