During last week’s Curriculum Night, Mr. Alcamphor’s class joined IMS moms and our students to create an amazing culinary experience. Together, they cooked and shared food samples from different countries, celebrating diversity and teamwork.
It was an evening full of connection, collaboration, and dedication. Every detail reflected hard work and commitment—this is how we do things at :

IMS Students in Ms. Gomez, Mr. Bennett. and Ms. Thom's Learning Labs teamed up with Ms. Hanson's class for a Valentine Making Extravaganza! Together, students made over 100 Valentine cards to send to residents at Encanto Palms Nursing Home, as well as to US Military Veterans residing at the Arizona Veterans Home located in downtown Phoenix. A special shoutout to Isaac's COTA Megan Lant for crocheting pink hearts to attach to the cards for the residents!! Happy Valentine's Day!

Los Estudiantes de IMS de los Laboratorios de Aprendizaje de la Sra. Gómez, el Sr. Bennett y la Sra. Thom se unieron a la clase de la Sra. Hanson para ¡una gran celebración de creación de tarjetas de San Valentín!

Students in Ms. Hanson’s room have spent the last month learning all about winter. From Ice Festivals around the world to Arctic Animals, and everything in between, they have been enjoying learning what winter looks and feels like in other parts of the country. To celebrate their learning and prepare for next month’s Unit on the Winter Olympics, they held a Winter Festival in their room Friday! Guest presenters, winter-themed yoga, crafts and even a hockey lesson complete with all the gear made for a great day of fun and learning!

Los estudiantes del salón de Ms. Hanson han pasado el último mes aprendiendo todo sobre el invierno. Desde festivales de hielo alrededor del mundo hasta animales del Ártico, y todo lo que hay entre medio, han disfrutado conocer cómo se ve y se siente el invierno en otras partes del país.
Para celebrar lo aprendido y prepararse para la unidad del próximo mes sobre los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno, el viernes realizaron un Festival de Invierno en su salón. Presentadores invitados, yoga con temática invernal, manualidades e incluso una lección de hockey con todo el equipo hicieron de este día una experiencia llena de diversión y aprendizaje.
