Tonight’s Governing Board Meeting was held at P.T. Coe Elementary School. We express our gratitude to Principal Ms. Robyn Lee-Hohman for hosting and showcasing the remarkable achievements of her students and staff from P.T. Coe and Isaac Online Prep Academy. The meeting commenced with school wide goals, special recognition of dedicated staff, and featured student performances from the cheer squad and singing from 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders. PUBLIC NOTICE  Intent to Apply  Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center  The Isaac Elementary School District No. 5 is pleased to announce the intent to submit the competitive grant application for the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) after-school program, to the Arizona Department of Education.   The 21st CCLC grant will offer free after school enrichment activities, academic support and homework assistance to support and enhance student’s achievement and personal growth.   In accordance with federal statute, Isaac School District No. 5 is required to inform our community and our stakeholders regarding our intent to apply for the Nita M. As we celebrate Black History Month, we want to highlight the leaders and milestones that have impacted education here in Arizona. Veora Johnson served as a devoted teacher for 17 years before becoming the principal at Booker T. Washington in Mesa, AZ. She was the first Black woman in Arizona to obtain administrative credentials in education and is widely respected for her remarkable contributions to public education in Arizona.

Isaac Middle School and Pueblo Del Sol Cheer Teams participated in the Valley Junior High Cheer Competition this past weekend. Kudos to Isaac Middle School for achieving 3rd place in the large division. Every student showed commitment and teamwork by mastering routines and collaborating effectively. We are proud of our Isaac students!

Today we reflect on George Washington Carver for his dedication in pursuing education as he became the first African American to earn a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to conduct research, teach, and provide farming strategies to farmers.
