The Heart of Isaac Community Center hosted a successful community resource day, bringing essential support and resources to our local families and community members. Community members had access to health screenings, and a range of helpful services, all thanks to the collaboration of dedicated community partners and organizations. Special recognition goes to the amazing HOI team, parent educators, and parent volunteers for their hard work in making these events possible for our community.
Yesterday, our interim superintendent, Dr. Lily Mesa-Lema, engaged with families during our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting. The room was filled with positivity and determination as they discussed moving forward with commitment and hope. #IsaacPride

Our second cohort of middle school scholars, members of the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council (SSAC), gathered for their first meeting of the new year. Under the guidance of the dedicated and esteemed Ms. Kimberlee Preston, Social Studies Strategist, the team is committed to amplifying student voices throughout the district while nurturing leadership skills and civic engagement for a brighter future. A sincere thank you to Ms. Preston for her ongoing leadership and to our students for their dedication to creating positive learning environments for themselves and their fellow peers.

We commemorate Presidents' Day, recognizing the leaders of our nation, past and present. In observance, there will be no classes February 17, 2025. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

National School Counseling Week 2025 (#NSCW25) is Feb. 3-7, 2025. This week, we focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. The theme is: School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive. National School Counseling Week, presented by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

Congratulations to Tara Lewis, Kindergarten teacher at Moya Elementary, for achieving her National Board Certification! This incredible accomplishment is a testament to her dedication and excellence in education.
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our incredibly dedicated staff for their hard work and commitment. Their unwavering support for our students makes a lasting impact every day. Thank you for all that you do. 💙

Isaac Families, just a reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are this week from February 5-7th. Students will have half day dismissal during these days. Our teachers look forward to discussing with you your child's accomplishments and academic goals. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
