Our MKU bands performed last night and were AMAZING! Thank you for all the parent support and to our wonderful band director, Mr. Muniz! ¡Nuestras bandas de MKU actuaron anoche y estuvieron INCREÍBLES! ¡Gracias por todo el apoyo de los padres y a nuestro maravilloso director de banda, el Sr. Muniz!

Our ISD students performed last Saturday with the ASU Middle School Honors Band. We had two MKU students and three IMS students accepted to this ensemble. They had the opportunity to rehearse with the directors from the University and perform on that massive stage at the ASU Gammage. It was an awesome experience! Thank you for all the support for music at our schools! Nuestros estudiantes de ISD actuaron el sábado pasado con la Banda de Honores de la Escuela Intermedia ASU. Tuvimos dos estudiantes de MKU y tres estudiantes de IMS aceptados en este conjunto. Tuvieron la oportunidad de ensayar con los directores de la Universidad y actuar en ese enorme escenario en el ASU Gammage. ¡Fue una experiencia maravillosa! ¡Gracias por todo el apoyo a la música en nuestras escuelas!

Today marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated across the country from September 15th to October 15th. This occasion pays tribute to the rich cultures and valuable contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans, recognizing the diverse heritage originating from Latin American countries.
