Spirit Week is next week! Thank you to Student Council for planning these fun themes that everyone can participate in. We can't wait to see how everyone dresses up!

**All spirit week outfits must follow dress-down dress code. Any students who are not participating in the spirit day must be in uniform.

Monday 1/12 is Pajama Day. Wear sleepwear clothing. ALL ITEMS MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE. No blankets no slippers. Tuesday 1/13 is twin day. ALL ITEMS MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE. no drug/gang related items. Wednesday 1/14 is sports day. Wear a sports jersey or team logo. ALL ITEMS MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE NO RIPPED JEANS NO DRUG / GANG RELATED ITEMS. Thursday 1/15 is school spirit day. Wear clothing in school colors (yellow and black) or wear school apparel. ALL ITEMS MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE NO RIPPED JEANS NO DRUG / GANG RELATED ITEMS. Friday 1/16 is color war! Each grade level has a different color. The winning grade level will receive a prize! 8th grade wears red. 7th grade wears green. 6th grade wears orange or yellow. 5th grade wears bllue. Other staff wears purple.

Vistan ropa con los colores de la escuela (amarillo y negro) o ropa con el logo de la escuela. TODAS LAS PRENDAS DEBEN SER ADECUADAS PARA LA ESCUELA. No se permiten jeans rotos ni artículos relacionados con drogas o pandillas. El viernes 16 de enero es la Guerra de Colores. Cada grado tiene un color diferente. ¡El grado ganador recibirá un premio! Octavo grado viste de rojo. Séptimo grado viste de verde. Sexto grado viste de naranja o amarillo. Quinto grado viste de azul. El personal viste de morado.
Dollar dress down dress code. No ripped jeans, no hoodies, no crocs or slides, no crop tops or spaghetti strap tops. Make sure our clothes are school appropriate. Shorts/skirts must be mid thigh length.
Report cards for quarter 2 are going home with students today!

Students must have a SIGNED permission slip in order to attend. Entry is $2 or 67 U-Dollars. There will also be food and drinks for sale at the dance.

iReady testing for Math is starting TOMORROW and will continue through the rest of the week during our MKU Yellowjackets' math classes.
Please make sure your student comes to school prepared and motivated for testing! This is an amazing opportunity for them to show what they know and rock the test.

iReady MathTesting is this week! The iReady logo (3 sides of a cube, each side a different color of orange, green or blue) and different colored math operation symbols (plus, minus, multiply, divide) decorate the image.
Basketball try-outs for both boys and girls are happening next week! Try-outs will take place in the MKU gym.
Girl's try-outs are on Monday December 8th from 3:15-5:15pm
Boy's try-outs are on Tuesday December 9th from 3:15-5:15pm

There is also open gym tomorrow and Friday from 7:15-8:15am if students want to stop by and practice shooting some hoops!

MKU and IMS are competing in a soccer tournament TONIGHT at Carl T Hayden High School!
MKU plays at 6:30pm and IMS plays at 5:30pm. Both schools have the potential to play more games after their first one, depending on if they win.

The rest says "Come support IMS & MKU soccer compete in IDAC's tournament. Friday, November 14th. Carl Hayden High School. 3333 West Roosevelt Street Phoenix, Arizona 85009. IMS at 5:30pm. MKU at 6:30pm with potential of another game with wins.
Next week is Spirit Week! November 17th - 21st.

Students have the opportunity to dress up each day based on the theme!
