Big thanks to Coach Barnes and Coach Christmas for organizing an end-of-soccer season celebration! They’re treating the team to pizza, soda, and a fun girls vs. boys game to wrap up the season with some friendly competition! We are especially proud of these student athletes, especially for the sportsmanship they showed this season.

"MKU families, CAN we make a difference together? Absolutely! Our Can Drive is a perfect chance for students to learn about the importance of giving back.
What to bring: Non-perishable, store-bought canned goods (no expired/damaged cans, homemade food, perishables, sugary items, glass containers, baked goods, junk food, or baby food/formula).
The first-period class that CAN bring in the most wins a special reward!
Let’s show how strong our MKU community CAN be!

Way to go MKU parents and families! We had an amazing turnout for our recent workshop "Not My Kid"; a workshop aimed at being proactive against the opioid pandemic. One of our very own teachers attended! Be on the lookout for next month's Parent Education Calendar for information on more events like this one.

Did you miss the October Newsletter? We hope not! However, just in case you did happen to miss it, we still wanted to take the opportunity to showcase our student's involvement in their recent election put on by Student Council. Students participated in the democratic process, campaigning and casting votes for a representative. With this experience, students not only learned real-life skills but learned the importance of civic engagement. Big shoutout to our student representatives for stepping up and making their voices heard!

Did you miss the October Newsletter?
We hope not! However, just in case you did happen to miss it, we still wanted to take the opportunity to showcase our 7th-grade science students' latest project! For this project, 7th-grade science students got creative and reinforced the science concepts they had been learning to create detailed models of cells.

Each month brings a new Parent Education Calendar. As the month has gone on, and as we near the end of the month, the Parent Education Calendar has been updated.
