Kona Ice is back tomorrow during student lunches!
This is a great fundraiser for our school. Please make sure your student bring enough money to purchase a sweet frozen treat! If they have Kona Ice cup, they may bring that as well.

MKU will be hosting our the last coffee with the principal of the year next week! ☕
We hope to see you Thursday (the 23rd) at 9:00am

Spirit Week is next week 🎉 Dress up with the theme each day and show off your Yellowjacket pride! Check out the calendar for each days theme

*Remember: All spirit day outfits must follow dress-down dress code. Students who are not participating in the theme must be in uniform or pay the $1 dress down fee.

Our MKU Band is having a fundraiser at Peter Piper Pizza on April 29th!
The money raised will go towards getting instruments repaired/fixed, supplies for the band class, and their amazing concerts.
Hope to see you that night between 5pm and 8pm!

Reminder that the AASA Writing Exam is taking place TOMORROW! (March 31st) for all grade levels.
Please ensure your student gets plenty of rest, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time so they are calm, confident, and ready to do their very best.

End-of-the-Year Field Trips are right around the corner!
Earlier this week, permission slips were sent home with students. For students to attend the Field Trip, they must have this form signed and returned by APRIL 30TH.
The Student Council is also requesting $10 from each student participating in the field trip to cover the cost of admission, transportation, and any additional activities during the trip. This contribution will ensure a fun and memorable experience for everyone!

Good luck to our 5th and 8th graders today as they take the first part of their AzSCI test! We know you're going to rock it.
Reminder that AzSCI testing continues tomorrow and Wednesday this week.

MKU Parents and Guardians - Students are going home today with 4 important documents. Some of these documents need to be signed and returned to your student's advisory teacher this week.
See below for information about each form and if/when they need to be returned by.
Thank you!

1) Parent Perception Survey: These are incredible important for our school's funding. We need an 80% return rate. Please fill the survey out and make sure that your student's name is on the top of the survey. There are English and Spanish versions available - please reach out to your student's advisory teacher if you are in need of a different language.

2) School / parent compact: This requires a signature from the student, one from the parent, and one from the teacher. They are copied front and back in English and Spanish.

3) Student Behavior Contracts: This needs to be signed and returned by Friday the 20th. We use these to inform parents of our behavior expectations during quarter 4 as we have upcoming testing, field trips, and fun end-of-the-year activities!

4) Student testing letters: These do not need to be signed. This form has important AASA dates so our students don't miss school or schedule any appointments during testing. This will ensure students arrive prepared to take the test and will reduce the number of make ups.
