I am excited to share some good news with you! Last Friday was our 1st Coffee With The Principal workshop with the MKU Families & Parents! Thanks to Ms. (Liz) Gonzalez, we were able to vote & establish an official Parent-Teacher Student Association (PTSA). Thank you to Mr. (Paul) Verdugo for helping us to call parents, signing them up electronically on the computer and inviting them to join the PTSA and/or attend the workshop. A special thanks to Mr. Glay for hosting 15 MKU parents/families!

Happy Monday!
I was given the responsibility to recruit MKU families to attend ASU West Campus! Saturday, 9/10/2022, MKU families were given the opportunity to learn about university admissions, how to apply for scholarships and financial aid opportunities for higher education, & all about college preparation.
Thank you to Ms. Gomez (Ms. G) for helping me begin the first student/parent contacts. In addition a special thanks to Ms. Garcia, The Latinos in Action Teacher, for coordinating with me to invite more students to attend & participate at ASU. Lastly, thank you to all the staff & teachers that accompanied me on the field trip: Ms. (Liz) Gonzalez, Ms. (Pauline) Gonzalez, & Mrs. Aparicio. A shout out & thank you to Marcela Lopez, the Family and Community Program Coordinator, for bringing this opportunity to the ISD! It takes a team effort to execute a successful event like this one: we had 29 MKU individuals attend!
