🎵 What a "note-worthy" day at Esperanza Elementary! 🎵

We were so honored to host musicians from the Phoenix Symphony yesterday! Our students had a front-row seat to the magic of live music as they explored the wonderful world of the Woodwind Family.

Here are some highlights from the visit:

Instrument Introductions: We met the flute, clarinet, oboe, and bassoon up close.

Science of Sound: Students learned the secrets behind how these instruments produce such unique tones.

Student Conductors: Some of our brave students even stepped up to the podium to lead the musicians!

A huge thank you to the Phoenix Symphony for inspiring our young musicians with your talent and for answering all of our students' great questions. 🎼✨

A wide shot of the Esperanza Elementary stage where a quintet from the Phoenix Symphony is performing in front of blue and yellow curtains. In the foreground, a young female student stands with her back to the camera, raising her hand high to "conduct" the musicians. Large posters identifying the flute, clarinet, and bassoon are lined up along the front of the stage.
A large group of elementary students sit on the floor, facing the stage during a presentation. Five musicians and a narrator stand in a row, each holding large white signs featuring pictures and labels for the clarinet, flute, oboe, French horn, and bassoon. The narrator in the center is speaking into a microphone, pointing toward the flute player.
A medium shot focusing on the "conducting" activity. A young boy in a maroon polo shirt stands on the floor, extending his arm toward the musicians on stage as if leading them. A symphony representative stands nearby with a microphone, smiling at the interaction. In the background, musicians are seated and playing their woodwind instruments.
A full view of the school stage from the back of the assembly. Five musicians are seated in a semi-circle playing their instruments: a flute, oboe, French horn, bassoon, and clarinet. Below the stage, the heads of many seated students are visible, and the front of the stage is decorated with educational posters of each instrument. A banner for the Phoenix Symphony stands to the right.
