The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) has designated the second Friday in May as School Communicators Day. Each of our schools have a dedicated communication ambassador who manages social media, newsletters, and websites. We are grateful for our devoted communication ambassadors as they play a vital role in showcasing student achievements, celebrations, and keeping our families informed.

Today is National School Nurse Day! Thank you to our school nurses, assistants, and medical staff who support our students to promote their physical and mental well-being within our schools. We recently celebrated the introduction of six new electric school buses to our district. These environmentally friendly vehicles promote a cleaner atmosphere and offer our students healthier air quality during their rides. Today's event showcased the commitment of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the City of Phoenix, AZ USA, the Clean School Bus selectees, and Isaac School District No. 5 to enhance environmental and climate sustainability.

A special guest from iReady paid a visit to our students for the incredible and hard work they have accomplished this year. Schools participated in a pep rally filled with energy and enthusiasm as they are approaching their final few weeks of school and the last benchmark assessment. We wish all of our students the best of luck and can’t wait to see the growth they have made this year!





Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎 As we kick off a week filled with celebrations for our devoted ISD educators, we encourage you to go out today and thank a teacher. Their unwavering passion and dedication shape the minds of our future leaders, leaving an everlasting mark. We appreciate all who take part in the success of our students.

Today, we held our Annual ISD Arts Festival, featuring students' artistic and musical talents from all over the district. Families were treated to a variety of performances, including musicals, dance, choir, band, guitar, ballet, and hip hop. In addition to admiring the students' artwork, families also participated in interactive activities like making instruments, karaoke, arts and crafts, culinary arts, and games. We extend our gratitude to the Isaac Community for their presence and appreciate everyone who helped make this event a success.










Today, we celebrate School Lunch Hero Day to express our gratitude to the ISD Cafeteria Staff for providing free and nutritious breakfast and lunch to all our students every day. Tonight’s Governing Board Meeting was held at Isaac Middle School, where Principal Mr. Kevin Sotomayor and Assistant Principals, Dr. Alicia Clynick and Ms. Erica Scrivner showcased initiatives, school wide goals, and achievements. Staff was recognized for their school values consisting of unity, loyalty, integrity, dedication, and perseverance, showcasing the IMS school motto, “victory together.” The audience also enjoyed performances by the Cougar Band and Cougar Dance Team. We thank our Isaac Community for joining us this evening.

Today we celebrated School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. We extend our gratitude to our exceptional Transportation Department, composed of bus drivers, bus assistants, fleet advisors, and transportation office staff. Our school bus drivers and transportation team play a vital role in our daily school operations. We sincerely thank our remarkable Transportation Department for their unwavering support and commitment to safely transporting our students to and from school every day.
We would also like to show our appreciation to the Maintenance and Operations Department for their devotion to maintaining clean and safe learning facilities and campuses. The department includes skilled maintenance workers, grounds crew, technicians, and office staff that are essential contributors to the work we provide not only for our students but our ISD community.





We are proud of our ISD scholars for their achievements, not only in the classroom but also within the community. This morning, one of our Middle School Sustainability Officers, Aislynn L. from Morris K. Udall Middle School led the Pledge of Allegiance at Mayor Kate Gallego's State of The City Address. We look forward to showcasing the incredible successes our ISD scholars continue to accomplish.

Join us in celebrating Earth Day as we strive to maintain our beautiful planet by recycling, promoting sustainable solutions, and spreading awareness. As we step in the right direction, here at Isaac, with the support from various organizations and volunteers, we have planted over 100 trees across our schools and will continue to take action for a healthier and brighter future for our community.

Our leaders engaged in continuous learning and steadfastly applying our collective commitments to their strategies. Each step they take is a stride towards excellence, aligning our goals with our core values. This dedicated effort is driving positive implications for student academic growth, fostering an environment where every student thrives.





Today marked the 3rd Annual ISD Solo Festival. Over 200 of our middle school band students performed solos for music teachers from across the Phoenix area. Students received instant feedback on their performance, which will help them improve their band skills. We would like to extend a special thank you to our band directors, Mr. Salvador Rodriguez from Isaac Middle School and Mr. Austen Muniz from Morris K. Udall, for organizing this wonderful event for our Isaac Scholars.

As we closed our last Parent Advisory Council meeting of the year, it was a time of reflection, discussion, and looking ahead. A huge thank you to all our dedicated parents and administrators who have worked tirelessly to make this year successful. Your commitment fuels our continuous journey towards even greater achievements.
