Today marked the 3rd Annual ISD Solo Festival. Over 200 of our middle school band students performed solos for music teachers from across the Phoenix area. Students received instant feedback on their performance, which will help them improve their band skills. We would like to extend a special thank you to our band directors, Mr. Salvador Rodriguez from Isaac Middle School and Mr. Austen Muniz from Morris K. Udall, for organizing this wonderful event for our Isaac Scholars.

As we closed our last Parent Advisory Council meeting of the year, it was a time of reflection, discussion, and looking ahead. A huge thank you to all our dedicated parents and administrators who have worked tirelessly to make this year successful. Your commitment fuels our continuous journey towards even greater achievements.
Here’s to celebrating our collective efforts and more exciting plans for the future!

Congratulations to Esperanza Elementary and Morris K. Udall students for their recognition and accomplishments for completing 50 or more i-Ready lessons. i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that helps students personalize their learning while monitoring progress throughout the school year. Well done students and staff at both sites for keeping a focus on learning both at school and at home.

Congratulations to Isaac Middle School for being announced as one of 122 schools from across the nation and the only individual school in Arizona to have been named a 2024 SupportMusic Merit Award winner by the NAMM Foundation. This designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. We are grateful for our devoted leaders, staff, families, and students for their contributions and this well deserved recognition.

Happy Paraprofessional Appreciation Day to our amazing support staff. Here at Isaac, our paraprofessionals not only help our students within the classroom but go above and beyond. They offer instructional assistance to students individually or in small groups, and also support supervision throughout the day. Pictured are some of our paraprofessionals across ISD.

Embracing differences, developing understanding, and celebrating the special talents of every individual. Today and every day, we stand together for World Autism Awareness Day.

At Isaac, we value our Assistant Principals and Teachers on Special Assignments (TOSA) for their dedication, commitment, and strong desire to support our school communities. We are thankful for having such devoted leaders and appreciate their contributions to our Isaac Community.

Today, we're making history with the City of Phoenix and our incredible partners, the Arizona Sustainability Alliance and V+P Nurseries, as we plant 80 trees at Morris K. Udall Middle School and Alta E. Butler Elementary School. This landmark event marks the first school tree planting funded by the American Rescue Plan Act through the Canopy for Kids Program in Arizona.
A huge thank you to our volunteers and community for helping us turn this dream into reality. Together, we're not just planting trees; we're growing a greener, healthier future for our students and community.
Let's make our schools a shade better, one tree at a time.

As our Superintendent Student Advisory Council (SSAC) students gear up for their end-of-the-year leadership sessions, we're thrilled to share the incredible progress on their Food Services Project. This year, our focus has been clear: to enrich our school lunches with more fresh foods and a wider variety of drinks.
In our latest session, we had the invaluable opportunity to learn about USDA guidelines from our expert Consulting Food Services Team at SFE. Not only did they savor a delicious, fresh meal, but we also crafted vital recommendations to fuel our minds and bodies better. Thank you to Governing Board member Patricia Jimenez for joining us and to all the students who shared their insightful thoughts with the superintendent. They will finalize their presentation and recommendations next month as the conclusion of their project and leadership experience in SSAC.
