Today is Speech Pathologist Appreciation Day!!!!! It's time to shout out the AMAZING speech team we have here at Bret Tarver! If you don't have a child who receives speech services, you've probably still seen these ladies around campus many times. Whether it's incoming student screenings, providing services in the classroom or small groups for current students, or MET/IEP meetings, this rockstar team does it all! They also make time for every special event that the preschool has like our turkey trot, please and thank you parade, etc to make sure all students on campus have an absolute blast! We appreciate you ladies for all that you do!! If you see them on campus tomorrow, give them a high five!!! ¡Hoy es el Día de Agradecimiento al Patólogo del Habla!!!!! ¡Es hora de gritar el INCREÍBLE equipo de oratoria que tenemos aquí en Bret Tarver! Si no tiene un hijo que reciba servicios del habla, es probable que aún haya visto a estas damas en el campus muchas veces. Ya sea que se trate de evaluaciones de estudiantes entrantes, brindar servicios en el salón de clases o grupos pequeños para estudiantes actuales, o reuniones MET/IEP, ¡este equipo rockstar lo hace todo! ¡También hacen tiempo para cada evento especial que tiene el preescolar como nuestro trote de pavo, desfile de agradecimiento, etc. para asegurarse de que todos los estudiantes en el campus se diviertan absolutamente! ¡Les agradecemos, señoras, por todo lo que hacen! Today is National School Communicator's day! Here at Bret Tarver we have a Communications Ambassador who is in charge of keeping our school website up to date, posting on social media to make sure all parents are aware of school happenings, and creating the school newsletter every month. It's time to reveal the face behind all of these tasks for the year. If you see Heather around campus today, be sure to tell her thank you!!! ¡Hoy es el día del Comunicador Escolar Nacional! Today is School Nurse's Day!! Here at Bret Tarver Preschool the smiling face you'll see traveling back and forth across the street is Nurse Jocelyn! She is a true rockstar tending to the children at two different school sites and we could not appreciate her more for all of her hard work!! Look for her today at school and say thank you to Nurse Jocelyn!! ¡¡Hoy es el día de la enfermera escolar!! ¡Aquí en el preescolar Bret Tarver, la cara sonriente que verá cruzando la calle de un lado a otro es la enfermera Jocelyn! ¡Ella es una verdadera estrella de rock que atiende a los niños en dos escuelas diferentes y no podríamos apreciarla más por todo su arduo trabajo! ¡Búsquela hoy en la escuela y dé las gracias a la enfermera Jocelyn!

This week is teacher appreciation week!!! We have so many phenomenal teachers here at Bret Tarver who work so hard each and every day to keep a smile on each student's face. Make sure you thank your teacher this week when you see them!! Have your student make them a card, pick a flower from your yard, or just give their teacher a big hug!! We love our teachers!!! ¡Esta semana es la semana de agradecimiento a los maestros! Tenemos tantos maestros fenomenales aquí en Bret Tarver que trabajan muy duro todos los días para mantener una sonrisa en la cara de cada estudiante. ¡Asegúrate de agradecer a tu maestro esta semana cuando los veas! ¡Haga que su estudiante haga una tarjeta, recoja una flor de su jardín o simplemente dele un gran abrazo a su maestro! It is the time of year for everyone's favorite unit theme.... INSECTS!! Bug masks, classroom caterpillars, butterfly releases, ladybug hunts in the grass, and digging in the garden for worms....so much fun exploring!!! Today is Administrative Assistants Appreciation Day! Martha and Ofelia are the first faces you see when stepping onto our campus! They are the first to greet everyone with a smile and the last ones to wave goodbye. The Bret Tarver preschool thanks both of these wonderful ladies for everything they do to support all staff and students here on campus! The weather outside is absolutely beautiful! Its the perfect time to go for a walk around the neighborhood, or visit a local park with your family! This week our parents from A Stepping Stone program finished their last week of the Raising A Reader Series. Each student received a stuffed animal to bring home with them to keep them company and bring them comfort while they are reading at home. The parents have received tips and tricks throughout this class series to promote literacy at home and are ready to put all that they have learned into practice!! Happy reading!! Esta semana, nuestros padres del programa A Stepping Stone terminaron su última semana de la serie Raising A Reader. Cada estudiante recibió un animal de peluche para llevar a casa con ellos para hacerles compañía y brindarles comodidad mientras leen en casa. ¡Los padres han recibido consejos y trucos a lo largo de esta serie de clases para promover la alfabetización en el hogar y están listos para poner en práctica todo lo que han aprendido! ¡¡Feliz lectura!!

Good morning Bret Tarver families!! We would like to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to everyone who was a part of our very successful spring festival last night!! From donations, to volunteers, to those of you who came out to have fun with us last night we appreciate all of the love and support from the entire community!! This was our first school festival since before Covid and we cannot wait to bring these celebrations back in full force!! There were so many laughs and smiles shared yesterday! If you have any great pictures from the event, please share in the comments below!! ¡¡Buenos días familias de Bret Tarver!! ¡Nos gustaría agradecer ENORMEMENTE y agradecer a todos los que formaron parte de nuestro exitoso festival de primavera anoche! Desde donaciones, hasta voluntarios, hasta aquellos de ustedes que vinieron a divertirse con nosotros anoche, ¡apreciamos todo el amor y el apoyo de toda la comunidad! ¡Este fue nuestro primer festival escolar desde antes de Covid y estamos ansiosos por traer de vuelta estas celebraciones con toda su fuerza! ¡Hubo tantas risas y sonrisas compartidas ayer! We are well underway to creating a fabulous festival for all of our Bret Tarver families and our community next Wednesday!! If you have not gotten a chance to stop by the front office, pop in and check out the fabulous prizes we will be raffling off the night of the festival as well as purchasing presale tickets. Presale tickets are 12 tickets for $5. Tickets at the door will be $0.50 a piece. Raffle tickets are already on sale as well, 6 tickets for $5 or $1 a ticket. Face painting, bounce houses, food, music and fun.....what more could you ask for?? We cannot wait to see all of your smiling faces next Wednesday here at Bret Tarver 4:30pm - 6:30pm. ¡Estamos en camino de crear un festival fabuloso para todas nuestras familias de Bret Tarver y nuestra comunidad el próximo miércoles! Si no ha tenido la oportunidad de pasar por la oficina principal, visítenos y vea los fabulosos premios que sortearemos la noche del festival, así como la compra de boletos en preventa. If you would like to continue the rest and relaxation, there will be a meditation class next week, Wedneday March 22nd from 10 - 11am in room 20. ¡¡Buen día!! ¡Esperamos que estés disfrutando de tus vacaciones de primavera!
