Last week was a busy week at Bret Tarver Isaac Preschool. Welcoming all students and staff back from fall break, as well as lots of new and exciting things happening! We can't wait to fill you in!! Construction has been finished on both playgrounds (for now) and the temperature has dropped enough that the students are now allowed to utilize the playgrounds!! They couldn't be more excited!! We'd be surprised if you haven't already heard all about it, but ask your student to tell you about their favorite thing to do on the playground. We love being able to make memories out in the fresh air, while improving gross motor and social skills all at the same time!! La semana pasada fue una semana muy ocupada en el preescolar Bret Tarver Isaac. ¡Damos la bienvenida a todos los estudiantes y al personal después de las vacaciones de otoño, así como a muchas cosas nuevas y emocionantes que están sucediendo! ¡¡Estamos ansiosos por informarte!! ¡¡Se terminó la construcción en ambos patios de recreo (por ahora) y la temperatura ha bajado lo suficiente como para que los estudiantes ahora puedan utilizar los patios de recreo!! ¡¡No podrían estar más emocionados!! Nos sorprendería que aún no haya oído todo sobre esto, pero pídale a su hijo que le cuente cuál es su actividad favorita para hacer en el patio de recreo. ¡Nos encanta poder crear recuerdos al aire libre y al mismo tiempo mejorar la motricidad gruesa y las habilidades sociales!

Last week we announced our new Preschool Coordinator here at Bret Tarver Isaac Preschool. This week we'd like to provide a little introduction. Greetings! I am Mrs. Adrianna Aragon and I am honored to be the Preschool Coordinator of such an extraordinary learning environment. I'd like to introduce myself. Over the past 19 years, I have worked as an educator. I have had the pleasure of working as a primary teacher, mentor teacher, assistant principal, and an ELA (English Language Arts) strategist for Preschool - second grade. Before Isaac Elementary School District, I taught at Tempe Elementary School District and ASU Prep Academy. As your new Preschool Coordinator, we will continue to empower our students by providing an environment that focuses on the needs of our diverse student population, and deliver standards-based instruction that recognizes our students' individual needs. All of us at Isaac Preschool are committed to working together, to help all of our students succeed. I look forward to partnering with you, in your student’s educational journey! Esta semana nos gustaría ofrecer una pequeña introducción. ¡Saludos! Soy la Sra. Adrianna Aragón y me siento honrada de ser la Coordinadora de Preescolar de un ambiente de aprendizaje tan extraordinario. Me gustaría presentarme. Durante los últimos 19 años, he trabajado como educadora. He tenido el placer de trabajar como maestra de primaria, maestra mentora, subdirectora y estratega de ELA (Artes del Lenguaje Inglés) para preescolar - segundo grado. Antes del Distrito Escolar Primario Isaac, enseñé en el Distrito Escolar Primario Tempe y en la Academia Prep ASU. Como su nuevo Coordinador de preescolar, continuaremos capacitando a nuestros estudiantes brindándoles un entorno que se centre en las necesidades de nuestra diversa población estudiantil y brindando instrucción basada en estándares que reconozca las necesidades individuales de nuestros estudiantes. Todos nosotros en Isaac Preschool estamos comprometidos a trabajar juntos para ayudar a todos nuestros estudiantes a tener éxito. ¡Espero asociarme con usted en el viaje educativo de su estudiante! Parent-Teacher conferences are officially complete and fall break has begun!! Reminder, the Bret Tarver Isaac Preschool will be closed October 9th - 13th for Fall break. We will see you all again on October 16th!! Have a fun and safe break!!! ¡Las conferencias de padres y maestros están oficialmente completadas y las vacaciones de otoño han comenzado! Good morning Bret Tarver families!! Just a reminder that parent-teacher conferences are taking place today, tomorrow, and Friday. If you have any questions or cannot remember when your conference is, please feel free to call the front office. There will be no school Wednesday - Friday this week. Happy almost fall break!!! ¡¡Buenos días familias de Bret Tarver!! Sólo un recordatorio de que las conferencias de padres y maestros se llevarán a cabo hoy, mañana y el viernes. More exciting news!! Bret Tarver Isaac Preschool officially has a new Preschool Coordinator, Adrianna Aragon. This week was her first week on campus, so if you see a new face around, be sure to say hi!! We are so excited to have an administrator devoted solely to the preschool, and cannot wait to see all of the opportunities that having our own Preschool Coordinator will bring!! ¡¡Más noticias interesantes!! A crew from Cox was at Bret Tarver a couple weeks ago filming a segment highlighting one of the preschool’s amazing programs to feature on their “Arizona Doing More” program. Classroom #2, our A Stepping Stone Foundation classroom was the one selected for this segment. This feature began airing Monday evening and will continue to air throughout Hispanic heritage month. We are so excited that we get to showcase some of the wonderful things that we are doing here at the preschool on a bigger stage. This occasion pays tribute to the rich cultures and valuable contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans, recognizing the diverse heritage originating from Latin American countries. Hoy marca el inicio del Mes de la Herencia Hispana, que se celebra en todo el país del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre. Yesterday, Bret Tarver had their first bus evacuation drill for the year. For many students, it was their first experience ever on a bus. The students learned about all of the emergency exits on a bus, all of the tools available in case of an emergency and how to safely and quickly exit from the front door of the bus. How exciting!!! Ayer, Bret Tarver tuvo su primer simulacro de evacuación de autobuses del año. Para muchos estudiantes, fue su primera experiencia en un autobús. Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre todas las salidas de emergencia de un autobús, todas las herramientas disponibles en caso de una emergencia y cómo salir de forma segura y rápida por la puerta principal del autobús. ¡¡¡Que interesante!!!
