Dear PDS Families,
The safety of our students is our number one priority. As always, we want to inform you of critical issues within our school and the surrounding community.
When we learned about a social media post directed at Pueblo Del Sol, we worked closely with Isaac School District’s Safety & Emergency Preparedness Specialist and the Phoenix Police Department to investigate the credibility of this threat. While the Phoenix Police Department does not believe the threat credible, we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Additional supervision and support were provided to our campus to ensure a calm learning environment.
Please know that the Phoenix Police Department and Isaac School District take all threats to our school or students seriously and investigate them thoroughly. We encourage parents to speak with their child(ren) about making the right choices and the potential consequences of their actions. We urge all students and families to refrain from reposting threats and rumors online but encourage them to report any suspicious activity or threats to their teachers or school administrators.
We understand some situations may affect students differently, and school counselors are available. Cuando nos enteramos de una publicación en redes sociales dirigida a Pueblo Del Sol, trabajamos en colaboración con el Especialista en Seguridad y Preparación para Emergencias del Distrito Escolar de Isaac y el Departamento de Policía de Phoenix para investigar la credibilidad de esta amenaza. Aunque el Departamento de Policía de Phoenix no considera que la amenaza sea creíble, continuaremos monitoreando la situación de cerca. Se proporcionó supervisión y apoyo adicionales en nuestro campus para asegurar un ambiente de aprendizaje tranquilo.
Por favor tenga en cuenta que todas las amenazas a nuestras escuelas o estudiantes se toman seriamente y el Departamento de Policía de Phoenix las investiga a fondo. Alentamos a los padres a que hablen con su(s) hijo(s)/hija(s) sobre cómo tomar las decisiones correctas y las posibles consecuencias de sus acciones. Instamos a todos los estudiantes y familias a que se abstengan de volver a publicar amenazas y rumores en línea, pero los alentamos a informar cualquier actividad sospechosa o amenazas a sus maestros o administradores escolares.
