This morning, we kicked off our Community Tree Planting for our schools. This initiative involves our commitment to environmental sustainability, heat advisory mitigation, and community well-being. Thanks to the generous support from APS through their Community Tree Program and in partnership with Arizona Sustainability Alliance, we have been granted the opportunity to plant 28 trees today at Isaac Middle School. We appreciate the support of the City of Phoenix and the American Recovery Plan Act. This marks the first planting, the rest of the school sites to follow.

Various factors were taken into account such as the low tree equity score in the area and proximity of the sites. This initiative aims to enhance our environment, promote shade and cooling, and foster a sense of community and environmental stewardship among our students, families, and Isaac Community.
