Wednesday, November 17, we will have our annual Turkey Trot Race for K-5 students. The races will be held during each grade level specials time. Students please wear comfortable shoes to run in and comfortable clothes(Non-Uniform) El miércoles 17 de noviembre tendremos nuestra carrera anual de pavo para estudiantes de K-5. Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 from 3pm – 5pm. The event will be a Drive-Thru for the community, there will be a contactless walk-up line available for pedestrians. We will be providing St. Mary’s Food Bank donations to families in need. This event will be held at Friendly House, located at 113 W. Sherman St, Phoenix, AZ 85003. Important Requirements: Bring ID or proof of address, remember to wear your masks and remain 6ft apart.

National School Psychology Week 2021 is from November 8-12. The year's theme is "Let's Get in Gear" and focuses on Growth, Engaging, Advocating, and Rising (GEAR). Esperanza has an amazing team of school psychologists including Mrs. Wayne Holtzman and Dr. Rhonda Levanda. As part of their duties, they participate in multidisciplinary evaluation team meetings to review data, determine the need for testing, reviewing results when testing is conducted, and determining eligibility for special education services. Our team is constantly learning through professional development, engaging in best practices stemming from the National Association of School Psychologist practice domains, advocating for identification and development of services that address mental health and learning needs, and rising to the occasion by developing and adjusting procedures and practices that adapt to the ever-changing needs given the challenges of the past year. Important Message from ISD: It was just announced today that judge Katherine Cooper issued an injunction blocking the state's ban on the face-mask mandate from taking effect in two days. Isaac Elementary School District will continue to require staff, students and visitors to wear masks on all school campuses, following our health mitigation plan . The plan takes a multi-tiered approach to minimize health risks related to COVID-19. Mask wearing, handwashing, social distancing and staying home when experiencing COVID like symptoms are the recommendations provided by the CDC and county health leaders and followed in our plan. While navigating the pandemic, it is important that we make changes and adjust to the conditions and needs of our community quickly. Please continue to look for information regarding updates to our health and safety procedures. We ask that you work collaboratively with staff and students to promote effective health mitigation practices, so that we may continue to deliver on the promise to provide a quality education in the safest environment possible.
