📢 Heads Up, Families! 📢

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow, November 11th, is Veteran's Day, and there will be NO SCHOOL!

We honor and thank all the brave men and women who have served our country. Their courage and sacrifice protect the freedoms we cherish every day. Take some time tomorrow to reflect on the importance of this day and, if you know a veteran, thank them for their service.

Enjoy the long weekend, and we'll see everyone back on Wednesday

Huge congratulations to our amazing 5th-grade food scientists! They've officially conquered the Amplify Science Modeling Matter unit, and what a delicious journey it was!

These brilliant minds transformed into experts for Good Food Production, Inc., tackling real-world problems. From investigating tricky food dye mixtures to designing the perfect, stable salad dressing using their understanding of matter, they absolutely crushed it!

To celebrate their incredible work, we whipped up some homemade salads today, topped with their very own, perfectly formulated dressings! So proud of their scientific thinking, collaboration, and creativity.

A massive thank you to all the wonderful parents who donated ingredients and materials to make this hands-on project and our celebratory feast truly come alive! Your support made all the difference.

Check out the awesome photos of their hard work and our celebratory salad feast! For more photos see our Facebook or School Story on Class Dojo

A 5th-grade girl, wearing safety goggles pushed up on her head, smiles slightly as she pours her finished homemade salad dressing from a glass jar onto a small white bowl of shredded lettuce. This photo captures the final step of tasting their scientific creation.
A group of students, one wearing safety goggles, stands around a table observing and mixing ingredients. On a blue tray are several small cups containing measured ingredients for the salad dressing, including oil, water, and white granulated solids (salt or sugar). One student's hand points toward the ingredients, while another student stirs a cup. A glass jar and its lid are visible to the side.
Four 5th-grade students, wearing safety goggles, are gathered around a circular table to mix ingredients for their salad dressing. One student pours a liquid from a small clear container into a larger jar held by another student, while a third student stirs a substance in a small cup. A clear bowl containing milk or a white liquid sits on the table, and they are using a blue tray for some of their materials.
Two 5th-grade boys, both wearing safety goggles, are collaborating to make their salad dressing. The boy on the left is carefully pouring a yellow liquid (likely oil) from a beaker into a glass jar held by the boy on the right, which contains a white liquid. The background shows part of a math anchor chart on the wall.
