Governor’s Executive Orders as They Affect Isaac School District Employees

Dear Isaac Staff,

We would like to provide more guidance on the Governor’s Executive Order and “essential personnel.”

Governor Ducey’s latest Executive Order, “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” (seen here), directs Arizonians to stay home except for essential activities.

Under the order, Arizonans “shall limit their time away from their home, except” for several reasons; the one relevant to Isaac School District is “for employment...” (pg. 2, section 2b).

Also, on March 18, Isaac School District designated groups of employees as “essential personnel” (seen here) who are assigned to work within the district at sites.

Given the above, all essential personnel are expected and required to report to work as assigned. If you are unable to report to work for any reason, you must contact your supervisor directly, submit your absence in Absence Management (AESOP) and utilize accrued time in order to be compensated, otherwise you will be docked pay for the time not worked.

At this time, you should be aware if you have been designated “on call” or “essential personnel.” If you have any questions concerning essential personnel, please contact your supervisor.
