Read 180 (System 44) Award Finalist

                  Leonel Castelo

Leonel Castelo is a fourth grade student here at J.B. Sutton. Last year when he was in thrid grade, Mrs. Diaz the reading interventionist from J.B. Sutton nominated Leonel for the 180 Award for System 44.

Leonel Castelo is an extremely caring, pleasant, responsible, and helpful student always gives his best within the work he produces. Just seeing the things that Leonel has learned from system 44 and his application of what he has learned has made a great impact on his academic learning. He has made a tremendouse infuential impact on all other students who are in System 44 program. Although Leonel wasn't selected as the Grand Prize Winner this year, he made it to the Finalist round which is still a tremendous honor. As one of the 180 Awards Finalists, Leonel was awarded a $100 Gift Card from Amazon. We would like to wish Leonel great success during this upcoming school year and continue achieving your goals.

  • Special Thank Yous!

During this challenging time, Pastor Fernando and Angelica from True Vine Church wanted to show their appreciation for all that Sutton staff does for the community. They reached out to Ms. Lacey so that they could provide coffee and tea to staff from DeGino Coffee Bar. Thank you Fernando and Angelica for putting pep in our step with the amazing coffee/drinks you provide for our teachers and staff.
