Superintendent: Message • About Dr. Bejarano

As Superintendent of the Isaac School District, Dr. Carlos Bejarano serves over 8,000 students from pre-K through 8th grade, as well as their families. Dr. Bejarano believes that families and schools are the heart and soul of the community. All children deserve a quality education and he is committed to ensuring that happens wherever he works. It is with great honor and enthusiasm that he serves as Superintendent of the Isaac School District.

Dr. Bejarano values the Isaac Initiatives, working together with teachers, support staff, and parents, we will continue to Increase Student Achievement, Improve Customer Service, and Integrate Parents and Community, ensuring that our students are best and brightest. Together we will create a professional learning community, a place where everyone is treated with respect, have a common focus, and make decisions based on what is best for our students, their families and the community. Dr. Bejarano believes that respect, teamwork, and commitment are essential components in order to create a high performing, learning organization.

Dr. Bejarano has spent his entire career, the last 32 years of his life serving as an educator. He was as a teacher and after-school coach in the Murphy School District for 14 years. After teaching in Murphy, he served in the Roosevelt School District for eight years, two years as an assistant principal and six as a principal. Then, then served in the Tempe School District as a principal for six years. He has spent the last four years working in the Cartwright School District as an assistant superintendent.

Carlos Esteban Bejarano was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and has lived and worked in the valley of the sun during his entire professional career. Upon graduating from Phoenix Union High School he attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana for his freshman year in college. Then returned to Arizona to complete his undergraduate work at Arizona State University earning a B.A. in Education. Then he earned his M.A. in Educational Administration and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

One of his favorite quotes is, “Other than love, the greatest gift a parent can give to their child is an education.”
