About Isaac


130 Years and Counting
The Isaac District celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2008 and
has a rich tradition of providing excellent educational opportunities
to the Isaac community.The district encompasses 6.8 sq miles in
Phoenix Arizona in 13 schools and one family literacy center.
The student population is approximately
9000 students.
Mission Statement
The staff of the Isaac School District, in partnership
with students, families, community members and businesses, are providing
a safe, supportive and positive learning environment in which members
of the community reach their highest potential as lifelong learners,
in a diverse and technological society.
Goals
- Through increased parental involvement, children in the Isaac
School District will start school ready to learn.
- Isaac School District will be free of drugs, violence and the
unauthorized presence of weapons and alcohol and will offer a
disciplined environment conducive to learning.
- Isaac School district students will leave grades three and eight
having demonstrated competency over challenging subject matter
including English, mathematics, science, history and geography,
and every school in the district will ensure that all students
learn to use their minds so they may be prepared for responsible
citizenship, further learning, and productive employment in our
modern economy.
- Isaac School District teaching staff will have access to programs
for the continued improvement of their professional skills and
the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to
instruct and prepare all district students for the next century.
